Fantastic narration, shame about the app
The quality of the content is outstanding. However the app itself seems to have a flaw, whenever you finish playing a particular clip and try to go back, the list of clips is always then empty, and you have to back all the way out and then go back to where you were. It’s a simple thing but adds a lot of unnecessary friction
Great content, shame about the app
The Forteller narration is always amazing, but the app in which it is presented is not. You can’t buy content through it (presumably to dodge fees). The content you don’t own is displayed far more prominently than the stuff you do, and owned content is so small it’s hard to differentiate and doesn’t scale well. When you back out of audio clips the section they’re in is empty, so you need to back out to the main listing and then go back in again. Sometimes an audio clip just won’t load on the first try. Sometimes text is displayed and is cut off due to not fitting in the box. Sometimes text should be displayed but isn’t. The app doesn’t offer any way to report the errors that invariably creep into the larger and more complex projects like Frosthaven.

Doesn’t Run in Landscape Mode on the iPad
Did anyone test this. Start it up, get asks whether I want notifications or not. Then displays a background picture with four cards and that’s it. Nothing else, there are no options, no buttons, no links, nothing.
UPDATE - I have contacted customer services and confirmed that this is a known defect to be fixed in the summer release. The issue is that it will only run in portrait mode. Because the screen locks in the starting orientation once open you must ensure you start it in portrait mode.
This probably explains why some report that it works fine while others report that it does not work at all.
