I feel I came across this app at exactly the right time for me. I was reading and researching brain retraining programmes and trying to find as much information as I could, when I found Freeme and it really clicked with me. I have had Long COVID for almost two years, and had the usual push crash cycle, with a lot of symptoms and PEM, and have started to try to heal myself using meditation, breathing techniques, working on my mindset, acupuncture etc. Everything just helped a little, but I didn’t feel a real shift until I started doing the brain retraining exercises in this app. They were so simple, yet so effective. I would say it was almost magical. I started using the techniques as soon as I noticed a symptom appear, and by applying what I learned with confidence, the symptom stopped. I have done the educational sessions, the meditation ones, brain retraining and corrective writing. I haven’t had PEM since, although my activity levels have increased and I am doing more of the things I enjoy. For me this app has been the missing piece in the big jigsaw puzzle I have been trying to solve. It is so well designed, the information is well put together and so easy to understand and to apply. And it is affordable. So many of us have lost jobs due to Long Covid, CFS, ME, that finding something that works and gives you the right tools to recover without breaking the bank (most recovery programmes cost thousands of pounds) is just incredible. I am so thankful.

This app is great, I love the pace and the flexibility and the Ai called Isla is just fantastic, she acts as a coach and is great to bounce ideas off to work out what’s perpetuating the fatigue and what to try, really useful to problem solve together. You get out of it what you put in. I’ve found that by doing the work from the app, I’ve had relief in my symptoms when I’ve had chronic fatigue for 6 years. I no longer need to nap everyday for 2-3 hours at a time and I don’t feel fatigued generally like I normally would. I’ve had a couple of times where I’ve had fatigue for 30 minutes and have been able to use tools to eliminate it and when you compare that to feeling constantly fatigued it’s amazing. I feel things are finally changing for me and I feel more free. And when I once decided to have a nap, the first in 3 weeks I have learnt to be a lot more kinder and accepting of it and that really helps instead of fighting against it. This app is generally good for your mental health even if you do not have success with your fatigue, you’ve nothing to loose.

When I downloaded this I was very very skeptical about the mind/body approach but I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in a couple of weeks, which has caused me to completely rethink everything I thought I knew about the disease. I’ve been suffering with ME/CFS for over a decade now and I have tried everything to get better including too many diets to list, supplements, graded exercise, medication, meditation and a load of other stuff and nothing worked or it had a minimal effect at best.This is first thing that has had a noticeable effect and until this I was slowly degrading as the months dragged by.Before this when it was suggested a mind body approach would help me it actually made me pretty angry. But there is masses of hard science showing how much the nervous system affects everything in the body and how it is able to produce all the negative symptoms we all feel. This is not to say it’s in your head, the symptoms are very real but are caused by a malfunctioning nervous system and this app shows you the science in an easy to understand way and gives you steps to correct the problem. It really made everything click for me and explained all the PEM and strange symptoms.Try it, you have nothing to lose. I wish I had earlier!

I used Freeme for almost a year during my long covid recovery and I would highly recommend the app to anyone else experiencing chronic fatigue. Knowledge about my condition has been vital in helping me adapt and gradually improve, and this app delivers that knowledge in spades. It’s takes the research and turns it into learnings you can apply to your life, delivering it with care, empathy and understanding. You can tell a lot of love has gone into making it, from a creator who knows what it’s like to live with fatigue. I’ve since deleted the app because I’m in a good place, and hopefully you will too.
