Unreliable

There’s something fundamentally wrong with the way the camera (X-T3 in my case) connects to the app. After repeated failed attempts to connect I went into camera Bluetooth settings to discover that the camera had created repeated identical Bluetooth pairings and couldn’t take any more. I deleted all pairings and started again. This enabled me to connect the app to the camera and it then worked, thought it disconnected after only a few minutes in spite of being 3m away in line of sight.
It seems strange that the app requires both Bluetooth and WiFi in order to connect; why not just Bluetooth?? My view is that the app may be quite good, but it’s difficult to tell as the camera connection is so poorly implemented and very unreliable. Hopefully this can be sorted by some future firmware update.

Works with X-T20

I have never written a review for anything, but felt compelled to in this case. Having only had my camera for 24 hours, I plucked up the courage to try and connect it with my iPad Pro, even after reading all the negative comments. As I was somewhere without any other WiFi signal, it connected straight away. I then had a go with my iPhone 8, straight away I had issues! I then turned on the flight safe mode, and tried again - eureka, it worked! I have now done this a number of times, and have been successful. I have now changed one of the function buttons as a short cut connectivity button. Just thought I’d share for other uses to have a go. 😁

What is the point?

With out a doubt this is the worst thing Fuji have created, very occasional it connects without a problem, but mostly it can takes ages to connect. When you do connect it then drops connection all the time, transfers are slow when you finally do connect. Sometimes it transfers movie files, sometimes it claims movie format not compatible with device, even though it just transferred movie clip which is same one that just transferred ok!
Also what is the point of being able to star rate images in camera if not even your app can filter them or other apps see rating? Will you just release a dev api so others can write a good app that works.
