When it’s working it’s ok
The likes:
It works ok, mostly does what it is meant to, and when in TOU mode, it can be set to charge the battery in time blocks.
The dislikes:
Unreliable, commonly it fails to adjust a change between TOU mode and Maximum Self Consumption, despite having full wifi and a dedicated wifi extender. Setting discharge doesn’t appear to work (at least with my setup). Also, with the latest app version on the iPhone, I have to agree four times to the privacy terms and conditions “every time” I open up the app..
This could be a great app. If they can sort out the problems mentioned.
Reliability?
I’ve managed to log onto app and website. Our installer used a dongle.
However the data doesn’t seem accurate at all.
Will check with installer after Xmas period but for eg this morning when we were on vampire mode before the house woke up we had record electricity consumption and record solar production.
Some of the definitions aren’t clear in meaning and our “layout” tab is empty.
Will update after contacting the installer
Doesn’t Work
The app has been very buggy since installation, quickly it became apparent that the calculations were incorrect with regard yield and consumption where yield is show as part of mains consumption and not separately as own use when using a virtual battery.
After the last upgrade in Feb ‘24 consumption is still available on main screen but pressing the PV button the data is no longer shown on the following screens. This missing data misleads your macro usage data over the year making the solar system seen overly efficient.
Now can only use App to monitor the inverter is on, nothing else.
