Game Dev Tycoon 4+

Having played the original Japanese game that inspired this one I was worried about this being a cheap knock off but I was more than pleasantly surprised to find out that it is more like a spiritual successor with extra bells and whistles. The most amazing thing about this game is it’s addictiveness, you think you will only be playing it for 5 minutes but it turns into hours and the best part is there is nothing extra to purchase in game! I only bought this yesterday at full price and I already feel like I have got the value out of it.
Would like to see Mod support like on other platforms, the developer could host a chosen few and iOS users press a Mod button in the main menu and choose what’s on offer? Like real name platforms and more topics to name a few.

As someone who rarely plays games, I cannot drag myself away from this one. There are so many little intricacies that make this game brilliant. One of the reasons I bought this is because it doesn’t preach in-app purchases and just does what it says on the tin. Anyone with a bit of a soft spot for the games industry as a kid, this is a top buy.

For the developers, the only issue I do have is not being able to access the game reports once complete other than a few stats. If it’s not already something you can do, this would be a good addition as I keep forgetting what works and doesn’t work and the supplied stats in the gaming history don’t give much details.

I did really enjoy this game. However I managed to finish the main storyline in under 24 Hours, all the extra R & D stuff in 36 Hours and max out my team with 1,000 skills, 90% Achievements and a $1 Trillion in 48 Hours. Where are the difficulty levels with special trophy unlocks? The customisable office features? The Online Leaderboard with friend based challenges?

Past a single day of playtime this game falls short and has no longevity at the moment whatsoever, which is a real shame because I did really like it. I hope in the future we see more additions and improvements to make this game as great as I know it can be. Cosmetic in app purchases or in game NPC Dev championships never hurt, where is the actual game jam tournaments? GGWP.
