GameSir 4+

This app on iOS is absolute poo. No matter what I try it will not connect to the G4. You can connect it through iOS Bluetooth settings but not the app, which you need to do to update the firmware. I’ve tried it with two G4’s same results, uninstalled, reinstalled and allowed it to access Bluetooth but it simply doesn’t work. For me the G4 Pro feels like a really nice controller but it is let down by this app. I have had a really good customer support experience so I have no complaints there.

Loved the company and the people I dealt with on their kickstarters but the products need setting up and when you can’t navigate and swap your linho then it can render the hardware useless as I’m finding out. I had it working then stopped playing for awhile now want go start again and managed to get paired but the app is needed to map the layout etc and as said I only speak English so that’s me and my control left feeling useless. I can connect via iOS (manually) but it’s not doing anything in games like it did same game same controls pfft thought I’d be able to switch on and play. Found the app weird as can get English set but as soon as you go deeper like to edit profile it reverts back to Chinese characters that obviously aren’t helpful to those of us in say London.

FW update has completely killed it now won’t even stay on! Meaning no manual connection now tho it will show for a half a second connected it then powers off - that eternal boot cycle that kills technology so I really need help and if you like super backers with over 500 pledges backing your gear again then you ought to help them - I’m gutted! ☹️

Cant change controls right now because the buttons don’t even pop up to do it (the firmware buttons after you connect to it) but it still works i guess, just cant change any of the controls on my xim.
