Look, love the app for the discounts, it’s also simple in layout etc. But for the love of god, you get a notification- you go look at it, you click off the app and the notification is still there, looking like a big “To do” red button - go back in, scroll through every piece of blinking news, come off and it’s still there. I’m a bit of a neurotic i’ll admit, I don’t let those little red circles hand around on anything - my inbox is always in order etc. This only happens on this app, it should be a simple fix right? Oh and why does it only work on WiFi?
Slow, unresponsive and not mobile optimised
Really surprised Gap has failed on their app technology; this is a very poor design and makes the Gap shopping experience a pain. The app is slow, unresponsive at times and definitely not optimised for mobile. It feels as though the main Gap website has been thrown into an app without being retouched. I actually can’t believe how awful it is; not very user friendly, feels very dated and slow, not the best UI or navigation, you have to keep signing back in, honestly it’s not a great experience. If it wasn’t for the Gap discounts I probably really would not bother. Gap you really need to sort your app experience, Covid19 would have been a good time to do so. Please take a look at Zara’s app or ASOS or Beauty Bay, H&M, other peer retailers etc... particularly Zara their app returns process is second to none, so simple and efficient and a pleasant user experience. For 2020 (and given all the similar negative app reviews) the Gap app is awful and your head of digital should be reconsidered. A big international retailer you should have nailed this already. New tech team needed!
50% off for birthday ????
When you sign up it says you get 50% off in the week before your birthday I’ve had this app well over 12 months never seen this 50% off, so I asked in store when I was paying as it’s my birthday on Monday, the lady said you get a message! No message or email, we even checked, the app had my date of birth which it does, so how and when do you get this discount
