For compatible navigators, the Garmin Drive app provides real-time information for traffic, parking, advanced weather, and photoLive traffic cameras, in addition to smart notifications from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device.
For compatible dash cams, the Garmin Drive app provides quick access to camera controls, settings, and recorded footage. Up to four dash cams can be wirelessly connected with the Dash Cam Auto Sync feature to provide comprehensive coverage around a vehicle, offering various viewpoints recorded by the multiple cameras. The Garmin Drive app can create a “picture-in-picture” video from any two perspectives at the same time, making it easy to review video and also share videos with friends, insurance agencies, or legal authorities.
Garmin Speak™ and Garmin DriveSmart™ 65 with Amazon Alexa are two Garmin products that bring what you love about Amazon Alexa to your vehicle. Just ask Alexa to hear music, news, and more. Also, enjoy Garmin turn-by-turn navigation. Stream the audio (music and other responses) from your vehicle’s stereo when you connect Garmin Speak to your stereo using Bluetooth® or AUX.
Older Bluetooth-capable Garmin navigators are compatible with the Garmin Smartphone Link app, and older Wi-Fi-enabled Garmin dash cams can access video footage through the Garmin VIRB app.
This app does everything it’s supposed to do absolutely perfectly BUT over the last few weeks it regularly tells me that there is an update for one of my devices. The first time I checked both devices (DriveSmart 65 and DC MINI) and found there was an update for the DriveSmart. Updated it and all was well. Unfortunately since then virtually every day, sometimes more than once a day, a notification pops up saying there is an update available. In desperation I contacted Garmin support who suggested that I had to connect to Garmin Express to do the update. Connected, only to discover that everything was up to date. Since then, and it’s only a matter of hours, I’ve had more notifications. It may just be me that it’s picking on but be prepared just in case. Without the irritation I would have given it 5 stars as it does do everything brilliantly!

What can I say I've always been a loyal tomtom supporter but this year I bought a device from tomtom there was hardly any support from customer service to call centre all correspondence through email and repetitive responses. Took it back and bought a garmin sat nav. Best thing I did everything worked out the box I did have issue where the mount was missing but garmin supplied me a replacement free of charge abd all you can call their call centre. Think I will stick with garmin in future.👍👍
Issue with iPhones

I bought a Garmin mini dash cam 2 and downloaded this app to connect with it. There is a glitch in the app which doesn’t allow me to get past the ‘select a device’ screen. I can connect to my dash cam, but the app doesn’t move on from the pairing screen. I’ve looked online, and many people have had the same issue with this. I called Garmin support 3 days in a row. 2 of the days I was hung up on and offered very little support. On the final day, the support agent basically told me that I need to ask for an exchange on my dash cam with the hope that it ‘might’ work with another dash cam. I am very disappointed with the support given. There has been pairing issues with this app for a while now and nothing seems to be done about it. I would 100% not recommend this if you have purchased a dash cam mini 2 as the app will not connect to it. I even tried doing this on different phones and got the same result (all iPhones).
No voice control on the app for DC56

The voice control on my device is disabled on start up after updating to version 4.30 so consequently I have to enable it manually on the device . Not too much of a bind as another bug on the update caused me to confirm my locale and language every time I switched the DC 56 on . That went soon after further updates arrived on the app . (Garmin drive) . One would have expected some form of enabling voice control on the app since the device has somehow become corrupted with voice control disabled on start up every time. Quite annoying as there seem to be more bugs in 4.30 than previous version which worked fine for me !!!
