Ghostery Dawn Privacy Browser 17+

Regularly use a news site which was getting slower and repeatedly crashing because of the huge number of trackers. With Ghostery it feels like my I-pad has had a boost the site is so fast. Without the trackers adverts and auto start videos seem to have stopped as well. Only problem is when in the browser I can't slide sidewards to shift backwards or forwards as I can in Safari.

I have four different browsers on my phone, but I find I keep using Ghostery for any site where I’m anxious about trackers but also in a hurry. Unfortunately this includes Facebook, which highlights a key problem: right now the Back and Forward buttons don’t work like other browsers (‘Back’ from within FB takes me right out to a previous site instead of my newsfeed/ whatever), and often not at all (on other sites). Others have complained of not being able to swipe, which may or may not still be true, but I’m from an older generation that constantly forgets we can even do such things anyway, and still likes visible buttons! As navigation is kinda the point of a browser, right now this is only a 3* for me, but otherwise it’s a neat and fast little thing that certainly keeps you on top of the trackers (or at least, tells you about them - I assume it’s blocking them too but who knows?).

I tried using this because of disliking tracking, but it always takes two or three tries of pressing "clear history, including cookies, browser history and top and pinned sites" for everything to actually disappear. Frequently, you press to delete top and pinned sites and they don't delete until you do it twice, selecting the buttons multiple times. And it doesn't have the option to remember that when you want to delete history you want to purge everything. Doesn't inspire confidence. I wish there was a one-button "just nuke everything" option.
