Note detection not working

I am having the same issue as MrCr102. I can’t get past the first lesson because it constantly tells me “too low note” when playing the open e-string. Guitar has been tuned with the app and also with a separate tuner, so I know the note is correct.
I have emailed support and hope to be able to increase the number of stars in my review soon, because it looks like a good app and a fun way to learn.
EDIT: Updated review to give an extra star. Suggested fixes have not helped unfortunately, but the developer has been super quick and helpful with their responses. Hopefully the forthcoming update will resolve the issue and I can give this app the rating it deserves🤞
EDIT 2: Uninstalled and reinstalled the app again and it is now working like a charm. Really enjoying it and can’t tear myself away! Thanks to the dev for excellent support 👍👍

Hi there! Thanks for writing. If you restart the app this problem should be solved. If not then try to delete the app and reinstall. We are releasing a new version in the next few days with a fix for this. Best, Daniel

Fantastic app!

I never write reviews but have to say this app is absolutely sensational. I am a complete novice, having quit learning to play guitar years ago through frustration. Amped let’s you play at your own pace and actually makes you feel like you’re progressing every step of the way. I have taken advantage of the 3 months offer that was provided and will 100% pay for it once it’s completed if I continue the upwards trajectory I am currently having. Thanks guys, can’t wait to see what more you bring to this service.

Much better options out there

Having used this app for 6 months or so, I gave up about 3 months ago once I reached the licks and chord changes section. Nothing I could do would make the note detection work effectively, and having tried three different guitars, all tuned via the app, an iPhone, iPad and different headphones, still gave the same issues of either wrong notes or “Can’t Hear You!”

Contacted the developers and was told that this would be corrected in the new version, which took another 10 weeks to appear. However - it’s even worse. Now won’t load on the iPad, and note detection, even for open strings, is just awful.

Should have signed up to Yousician instead. Would have given a 1-star rating if it wasn’t for some of the use I had out of it. Now stuck with another 6 months of a subscription that isn’t going to get used.
