What’s New

Version 9.2.4

We have of course been tinkering in the background to make sure our app is functioning in tip top form, but this update is all about bringing back a highly requested feature. Yes, swiping articles is back! You can now open an article, swipe left and read the next article, or swipe again and again, there is no end to the swiping fun one can have, oh… and we even track your position in the home feed, so when you are done reading, we’ll put you right back in the feed at the last article you looked at, Nice! Stay tuned, as we have much more in the pipeline.

Much better than that hideous website!

This is a vast improvement on their poorly designed site, with the intrusive ads and jumping articles. Good design and layout, and you can choose your own topics to follow. Nice one!

Much better than website, lacks daily briefing

A great, simple, unobtrusive way of reading the news. Much better than the messy website, with all its distracting pop-ups and ads.

It just lacks one thing, a morning notification to summarise all the day’s news (like the Guardian does). I currently get the daily briefing email (which arrived both morning and evening, even though the articles are usually the same) and the links take me to the horrible website. I would love the option to get a daily notification from the app (preferably around 8am) which opens up a news briefing where you can tap to read any of the key articles inside the app.

Give us that and you’ll get 5 stars!

Fake news

There is no news covered here. The articles are poorly written and full of spelling mistakes but it is the admins that are the real issue. They ban any and all comments that are not 100% behind cyclists! It’s bizarre. Genuinely strange. People rant about individuals, lie about political parties etc but question a green policy or cycle lane and they are deleted.
It’s to a point that I noticed it and over time came to expect it and it’s actually become a little sinister given a good third of their articles are directly related to the Green Party and/or their policies on cycle lanes etc.
Other than that, this site is poorly run, with laughable grammar and spelling mistakes. It’s very clunky and really not worth looking at. I’m going to delete it and wish I had a while ago.
