Global Blue - Shop Tax Free 4+

A weird app, like great you can see the tax rules and refund locations, but the refund process and the profile management is a nightmare.
When you hit the ‘contact button’ and write the team an email, you get a replay saying the inbox isn’t being monitored…. 🙄🤷🏼‍♂️
A clear example of a business who sits so heavily on the market and where the can provide a poor customer experience as customers don’t have another option

Definitely not recommend.
They delay as much as possible the reimbursement of your VAT (it took 2 full months to get the VAT back). They pretend they sent a cheque, made wire transfers, etc when they have done nothing as such. They just try to play mental fatigue, hoping you will forget / stop asking for your money back so that they can keep all the VAT.
Even worse, if you push to get your money back then you get charged other random fees (such as FX). I made a purchase in EUR, provided a bank account in EUR to receive the VAT, and they try to reimburse in USD when I asked in EUR (please note I am based in the U.K. so USD makes no sense at all). And then, they pretend that given they tried to pay in USD, you have to pay FX fees, etc. (interestingly the day on which they apply the exchange rate is exactly the day the currency in which they want you to convert, USD in my case, is the strongest). It is just pathetic.

I have purchased a few items then tried to claim the vat back on my way to UK, the employees of two of the tax kiosks in the airport weren’t bothered to work and they kept advising to go upstairs to a different kiosk. When I have arrived there they were giving cash refunds to all the Italians and to English speaking people they advised to put the vat papers in a box quite far away from the kiosk.
That box was overflowing with vat papers, there was absolutely no security there , box was open and you basically could take any paper out from other customers if you wanted to.
I realised i wont get any money back , i went back to that lady to try and explain about the box and she made me the sign to go away and put it there.
So rude and unprofessional I was very disappointed by their service.
This sounds like a fraud to me and I will try to engage more people that had the same experience and open a court case.
