Unimaginative, Badly Made and a Waste of Public Money

When designing an app, you should always focus first on the user experience and interface. The navigation is subpar for 2017, ‘speak to use’ on every page (heard of icons?) is an incessant waste of space, there’s a terrible lack of padding around every element, and there is a complete lack of design finesse throughout.

‘Speak to use’ doesn’t work. At all. Literally doesn’t do anything. And yet there’s a speak to use command on every page! What?!

Also, a key feature which is just *missing*, is a map. If I click ‘where is my nearest bus stop’ I want the app to show me, not give me an address that I then need to look up on a separate map app! Just plain stupid.

Google Maps has the same information available in real-time for free. And the UX/UI is very much better and more intuitive.

This seems a huge waste of public money for the resultant product.

Not a lot of use.

As this app hasn’t been revised since July 2017 and it is now February 2020 then I don’t suppose that the designers read the reviews but I’ll go ahead anyway.

I was in Cheltenham, a town that I’m not familiar with, and needed to get a bus. When attempting to use the app I could not get the “Speak to use” to work at all. I could not find which bus service I required so I didn’t know which bus stop I needed.

I read the description of the app written by the designers and it doesn’t match the functionality at all.

If this app is intended to advertise the Gloucestershire public transport system in a positive light then either revise it substantially or delete it.

I found the information that I needed using Google Maps.

Waste of space

Whoever owns/manages this app should remove it.
Downloaded this at a bus stop in Winchcombe to try and find details of the buses due. Most of the home screen options did not work/do anything or resulted in an error message. When I selected “find nearest bus stop” it said it could not locate one even though I was standing at the bus stop with a 4G signal!
