Whether you’re hot air ballooning, out on your motorbike or on the way to friends house for dinner, rather keep asking where you are, send them a Glympse text, takes 20 seconds and then when they’re interested they can tap on it and see where you are now, when you arrive your friends are ready, your wife knows you’re out on your motorbike and okay, just stopped for another cup of tea at a mates house, obviously if you’ve gone to the pub you turn it off! :-))

When we could use our Blackberry phones BBM message system still in the UK which had as as side facility GLYMPSE, both were brilliant. Never had any problems at all with either. However, when the Blackberry system memory system got choked up with the updated apps and the Blackberry capabilities were not enough to be able to cope with the new systems, we had to move to another manufacturer phone. Since then we have just had no luck with either the message systems that I had found, text messages are frequently too slow or GLYMPSE at all. So I have had to look around again. Then someone suggested I have a look at telegram for my messages. It is brilliant. But it also has a few side features like the Blackberry system. Photograph access, but only the ones that you want, also not only the chat service but also an incognito chat as well. A link to a time limit map so you can see who is where, You can see any of your contacts who are also registered with Telegram. Access to many different types of settings so you can tailor it to your own preferences. Many, many different types of emoji’s, gifs, stickers and also moving ones as well. Lastly voice recording. I did use them both on my Blackberry until I did not have enough memory, but apart from that I cannot fault either when they were on the Blackberry. It seems as though Blackberry had more control over Glympse than now when it is available to all of the people and any mobile phone system.

I’ve been using this app for years so easy to use , you just hit the G symbol pick the person you want to share your location with and the amount time you want to share it and send …. Had a couple of occasions where it’s stopped sharing and then won’t reconnect by itself and only the person you are sharing with knows it has done this.I give it a good 9.5 out of 10 👍

This app is so great. I feel so much safer running and walking the dogs when I can share my location with my husband. Have also shared my location with my Mum when she was worried about us driving 8 hours down from Scotland so she was able to watch our progress! Love it!
