IOS Needed Updating

Earlier on today I rated this app and gave it a low score of one star. After my iphone updated its IOS operating system. I re installed app and then it started work fine, so before installing the app make sure your IOS is the latest edition. Once I got the app up and running I only had a couple of minor issues, and to be fair one of them wasn’t the app’s fault. I found the mapping to be a bit inaccurate and in places showing to be a t a slightly different street. The other problem was 100% not the apps. Due to it being Christmas Eve one of the parks where route goes had closed early. So I had to use public streets as alternative route and got a bit lost. Luckily I saw a familiar bus number found a bus stop with bus info and realised that on the other side of the road there was bus stop to take. But overall the app did enable me to get out and discover some interesting things to and help me get some great photos.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to review Go Jauntly. We are sorry to hear that there were a couple of issues to begin with but glad you got going with it. We are looking to continously improve the app based on your feedback and are looking into map accuracy and enhancing that. Glad you got to take some great photos! We'd love to see them. Hope that you are having a great 2019 so far. All the best from the Go Jauntly gang x

Cool app

I’ve been using this app in sessions where we show people how they can use their phones to get outside. It’s a great app for most people and when used properly can create a good guide for people to follow.

My only feedback is around wheelchair and disability access. There’s not a lot out there that people with a mobility issue can use to find accessible trails and walks. It would be great if you could add a category for that. I’d even be willing to go out and map a few in my area for people to use if you did.

Thanks for listening!

Hey Grubesy, so pleased to hear that you've been using the app and sharing it with people - thank you so much - you're the best! Just wanted to share a quick tip, you can filter Search Results in-app to surface accessible walks near you. Just change the filter settings to suit your needs. Sometimes we need accessible walks too so it's hugely important to us. We change our collections (categories) each month and sometimes more. Next month we'll add a special Accessible collection just for you (and many others too of course!). Look out for it and do stay in touch. Thanks so much for being a part of our growing community, it really means a lot. Email us any time at hi@gojauntly.com and let us know if we can do more. All the best, from Hana, Steve and the Go Jauntly Gang.

A great idea. But when I checked local walks in E Kent, they were self indulgent posts of people’s photos, not a photo based guide to a route.
I can ignore them of course, but there may be a danger in allowing people who don’t understand the concept in posting their material. It could swamp the ap. Maybe edit out rubbish if resources allow?
Update - The developer has explained that part of the idea was to allow posting of highlights but not necessarily full walks - which seems a good idea. Plus they do curate offerings. So for me it’s 5 star now.
A bit like Wikipedia. Improves as we add content and may eventually have thousands of entries. So be patient if no walks near you yet.

Hey there, thanks so much for you comment and for taking the time to feedback. Really pleased you think its a great idea and can see the opportunity. We've been piloting in London and have lots of walk in West Kent are are making our way East imminently. We have some great walks in Whistable and Margate and we are monitoring the content and doing exactly what you suggested - whoop! Please note that you can report any issues or concerns with routes via the walk in-app and we hope that the community continues to feedback and promote their favourite walks. Every walk that gets created and shared is getting better and better and sometimes it is just about showcasing an amazing place or points of interest and the other person enjoying a leisurely wander in that destination and either improving on the walk by curating their own or just being outdoors. Thanks so much again for taking the time to get in touch. Please stay in touch and do pass on your feedback to us. You can reach us on all the socials or via our website. All the best x
