Not user friendly

Loving this app, the amount of info it has and the detailed photos of the works really makes this app a great tool but unfortunately the UX on iPad is not great, there isn’t a back arrow/ button when you go from artist to artist so I keep on having to go to Home and search the artist all over again (it also doesn’t save your last search on the search bar) which becomes annoying if you were far down on the works. A small detail that changes the whole experience.
Besides that, awesome app.

Really great but...

That little “Google Arts and Culture” banner that always comes down annoys the life out of me. I understand why you would have it there, but its presence stops me from becoming absorbed in a painting. The art should come before your self promo! Like get that moneyyyyyy bish but don’t interfere with the Hopper. Also I would like to see more work from artists such as Bacon, or Freud, or Wyeth, but there’s a lot of other artists on there already and I’m having fun looking at different people’s work, so it’s not a massive issue

Banner is infuriating

The whole point of viewing art online (especially during lockdown and museums are closed) , is to be able to examine the picture carefully with no interruptions. However when you zoom in on a painting on this app, a banner pops up if you lift your finger off the picture. It’s so annoying, and lets the app down. Would be great if designers could fix this small issue, would definitely give users a seamless and enjoyable experience. If this was not an issue I would rate 5 star as the app is great 👍🏽
