Ratings and Reviews
Quick, human matches.
Everything works, some strong players here, quick connection, reliable connection too. Shame there is no 19x19, but here is excellent quick smaller games, good for developing more local/joseki ideas. No complaints, congratulations guys, great app.
Just as an aside, I believe I’ve had the privilege of playing Aguilar maybe around 10 times. He absolutely destroyed me every time, but I learned a lot.
It's OK
I think GoQuest is OK but there are some things that need improving:
- the scoring system is strange. Please could we change to a standard Japanese system?
- I don't understand how points get added or taken away. I seem to get 1 point for winning and -7 when I lose. Please could the points system be published?
- sometimes the server is wrong. I play very fast but sometimes the game says I have ran out of time. It seems to jump down in time.
- mismatched games. Sometimes my opponents are too strong for me and I don't know why we have paired up. E.g. the other day I played against a 7dan. The game seems pointless. What hope would I ever have against someone so strong? Similarly, sometimes it pairs me up with people with 800 points. This is unfair on them. However sometimes these are fake. They are actually much stronger than that. So why play at that strength?
I think it is a great app, but I would like to trust it a bit more. A few tweaks and it would be the best app in the world. I would consider paying if it was improved. At the minute I think GoQuest should pay me
Best app ever!
Played for years but would love to have an optional chat feature! I want to make some go friends! Make it optional though as some people probably wouldn’t like it!
