Guardian Tales 12+

So far really enjoyable game. It has a nice old school vibe and very engaging, fun storytelling. Lots of different areas as well if you want to switch up the game or get stuck on a level. A perk for me is that you don’t have to play with other players and can play this game solo [with your Heroes of course] as PVP is pretty annoying when it’s the only way to pass a level. There are some pvp combat challenges but luckily not part of the main story

Other than that; Usually iPhone free games are pretty rubbish, a lot of advert pop ups and a lot of pay to play areas or disruptive pay to play blockers but in this game the purchases are pretty non intrusive and don’t disrupt your game. Even thought there is a stamina limit I’ve played for hours esp at higher level challenges that can’t be passed on the first try. Initial ‘Tutorial’ mode is seamless and even though there is a lot of information it’s made really easy to navigate and figure out game play. so I would highly recommend this game.

i played it before like a year or two ago and it’s was amazing experience i love everything about this game yea they got some annoying bits but you don’t even focus on them as much as you would think you would i remember that once game crushed and i lost my entire save like my account for some reason was gone and when i tried to open the game again i had to start from the very beginning and i had really cool legendary hero’s unlocked so you can imagine how angry i was lol BUT they got ride of this bug or whatever it was and game works perfectly now and i’m really happy that i could play this game again even if i had to start from the very beginning it’s was nice to go through it again also i didn’t realise until like two days ago that you can play as ANY hero you want it don’t have to be just the guardian knight that you start with at the beginning and that’s mostly the reason why i really love this game now

Mobile games are often extremely soulless and usually have no story or anything remotely similar to a traditional video game. But this is different. It has a story, and it genuinely made me chuckle. It’s one of the only mobile games I’ve played with a premium currency that is easily obtainable and I cannot praise the developers enough for doing this. It makes the game more enjoyable just knowing that you’re not require to pay real money to have a good set of heroes and weapons.

My only criticism is the energy/stamina system. I’ve never been a fan of limiting players’ game time by only allowing them to do a certain amount of activities a day, but the story missions aren’t the most rewarding activities and having to sacrifice stamina on them is annoying. I think stamina should be exclusive to the tower and rift dungeons as they offer actual rewards.
