Description
The Free Shot Timer is an extremely accurate shot timer application that anyone can use to improve their shooting skills.
When designing the Free Shot Timer we asked shooters of all types and experience levels what they wanted in a timer. We found that the most important features in a shot timer from the shooter’s perspective are ACCURACY and EASE OF OPERATION. The last thing people want to do at the range is mess around with their timer, but at the same time they want it to work.
With that in mind we engineered a shot timer app that has the precision of a high dollar stand-alone unit, with an incredibly user-friendly interface. But we didn’t stop there…

No Microphone
Doesn’t ask for permission to use the mic so can’t hear any shots. Oh good for a starter buzzer in its current state.
Good shot timer but needs development
Hi I love this app, works great for practical rifle but when I’m training for a target rifle competition I need to be able to set a course of fire. For example 10 shots with 2 second snaps. What I want is the timer with random delayed start when I touch the button and then stops at the first shot and gives me a random start bleep for the second shot without me having to mess with the app and continues like this until the 10 shot course is finished. The stats need to show me wether or not I get each shot off within the two second “exposure time”
This would be a massive improvement
I must have been doing something wrong 🤔
I installed it on my iPhone 6, set the sensitivity down the middle and took the lot down to the range for PSG.
Random beep, good, 1st shot no reading, 2nd shot no reading. I stopped, made the gun safe then I started shouting BANG, BANG, BANG close to the mic and ... reading each time.
Set the sensitivity lower than higher same behaviour, why didn’t it register shotgun shots but registered mouths BANGs? 🤔 No idea and I ended up uninstalling it. Anyone any ideas why?
