You will do workouts with and without weights improve your fitness and activate your fat burning system. The major benefit of this style of workout is that your metabolism will stay elevated for another 16 hours post workout, meaning you are still burning calories as you go about the rest of your day.


There’s more than one way to build muscle. Heavier, low repetition weight training will help to recruit more muscle fibers ensuring you build strong muscles. While higher repetition weight training helps to achieve hypertrophy which will give you a toned, muscular look. You will use free weights, machines to target your muscles effectively. No matter what equipment you have access to there is a way to build muscle with Gym Plan. Unlock workouts with supersets and trisets to stimulate your muscles to grow while burning unwanted fat!


Sync your workouts and Personal Health Record with Apple Health (activate in Settings > Preferences). HealthKit is turned off by default.

SUBSCRIPTION - with Family Sharing for up to 6 people!

If you decide to subscribe you will pay the price set for your country, as shown in the app. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.


You can cancel your subscription from the Account screen. If you cancel 24 hours before an introductory trial is over then you will not be charged. If you cancel during the month period for which you've already paid (up to 24 hours before the next period starts), your subscription will continue until the end of that period. Subscriptions can be managed by you and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to iTunes Account Settings after purchase.

Very User Friendly

Great app for workout planning and I have tried several. Clear instructions and I love being able to track my history as well to ensure I keep improving. I have now been a subscriber for almost 3 years however and my main pet peeves remain as follows

Rest periods in circuits: would be great to be able edit these as my main goal in a circuit is to keep my heart rate up, but sometimes the rest period is set at 1-2minutes which you can’t amend

Build your own workout: I do appreciate the frequency with which workouts are added now, however a lot of the plans are repetitive ie doing the same workouts each week. It’s great you are able to edit workouts while you’re in them but an easy win would be to be able to build and save your own workouts to provide more variety for those that desire it. I miss being able to edit the workouts from the preview screen rather than having to start the workout to see alternatives.

Total bargain

My boyfriend spends £30 a month on an app from a PT which basically gives him the same content. I downloaded it because I want to build muscle and not be afraid of the weights section of the gym.. (I used to stay in thr cardio section) now I feel pretty confident heading over to weights. My personal favourite thing about this app is that it recommends you what to lift based on what you done on that exercise before… I don’t have to think about it myself. The only suggestions I could make would be like an intro to weights that explains the different results between high reps and low reps and what you should start with etc, because I think there’s a lot of people like myself who literally walk into weights and don’t have a clue what any of it means. Also.. maybe a few more abs? But I absolutely love this app ❤️💪

Excellent app and fantastic support

I’ve tried a few “gym” apps, mainly to help me make my way from home workouts to then building the confidence to join a gym and ‘Gym Plan’ has been everything I was looking for. The app is extremely intuitive, the workouts and super simple to follow with very helpful guides and the exercises actually help me to produce results. On the two occasions I’ve contacted support, they reached out to me really quickly and resolved the issue promptly, but I was more impressed with the manner in which I was dealt with; very personal, empathetic and helpful.

This app is the only subscription app I’ve signed up to and it’s one I’ll continue to use for the foreseeable future; highly recommend.
