• Create your workout with your own exercises or choose from the 50+ simple exercises with animated images and visualizations of the affected primary and secondary muscle groups

GymBook now supports exercise equipment. Assign benches, weights, bars, and more to your exercises. Filter exercises by equipment and track equipment used in your workouts or workout groups.

IMPORTANT: Discontinued support for watchOS 6; please do not update if you want to use GymBook for Apple Watch with an Apple Watch running watchOS 6.

In addition, on watchOS 10 we have completely redesigned and improved the logging experience. The logging screen now offers a brand new vertical tab navigation, with which you can access the most important screens by vertically moving through them. You will recognize this navigation paradigm from some of Apple's apps on watchOS 10.
Also new on GymBook for Apple Watch:
- Exercise image
- Workout is not reset when getting new data
- Reuse "old" workouts if workouts of today are not available (please still make sure to periodically sync your data with GymBook on your iPhone, to avoid data loss)

Absolute Gem!

It is so rare to find a health app of this calibre and quality that isn’t a subscription. Gym Book is feature-packed, easy to use, highly customisable and informative. On top of that, the support team were friendly and helpful when I reached out to them. Gym Book is everything I was looking for in a fitness app and more, which made accessing all of the premium features for such a low onetime fee a no brainer. Even the free version will add value to many people starting out on the fitness journey.

One thing that I’d like to see added in the future is a catalogue of pre-made, template workouts that we can download and customise. It could also be great if we were able to share our workouts to a Gym Book cloud so that other users could download them for inspiration etc. To be clear, there are some workout examples provided by Gym Book, but the app is light in this regard. I believe having more ready-made, workout templates could potentially attract more users.

Overall, I’m a massive fan of Gym Book. I’m enjoying it more with every use and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I look forward to its continued evolution and wish the developers all the success they deserve.

Awesome…. So far!

I’ve used several of the main apps, all of which require an annual subscription and offer far more features than I require. In fact, some (here’s looking at you, Fitbod) are infuriating in that they keep reverting to their own algorithms even when you program in your own routine.

This app is very reasonable to buy, does everything that I need and is intuitive to use. As long as you are not a complete know-nothing beginner all the features you need are here in a clear and easily adjustable format so that you can create, follow and adjust your workouts to suit yourself whilst keeping a clear record.

Excellent app, I wish I had found it sooner!

Solid app, easy to use

I really like this app for tracking my workouts. The design may be simple, but it’s a free app and especially compared to some of the tracking apps I’ve seen on here I can’t fault it at all.

The selection of exercises is solid, plus there’s an option to create exercises yourself, including the option to highlight targeted muscle groups, add pictures etc. You also have the option to add notes to your sets which can be useful. I do, however, hope that over time the selection of exercises grows, as it takes a bit of time and planning ahead when you want to start and track a new routine and the exercises needed aren’t yet in the database.

It would be nice if there was an option to track banded exercises as sometimes I train with bands, but you can only select the amount of weight used, and with my bands I have no idea what band color/strength amounts to which weight, but since I progress with my bands as well it would be cool to have an option to track that somehow. That would be the only flaw I can find for the moment. Overall I highly recommend this app.
