Haibike eConnect 4+

having spent £6200 on a 2020 flyon model i was looking forward to the innovative features such as theft protection, locating your bike etc so i downloaded the app on several iOS devices to find i couldn’t register on any device as the app isn’t functioning. there are merely empty grey boxes with no written text apart from date of birth entry but there you only have a choice of selecting December only and the year is only from 2020 onwards??????????? i just want to have these features i paid for working so please sort the app out!

I’ve just purchased a new Haibike in the Uk and as part of my order I wanted to add on the Haibike econnect GPS retrofit kit.

I almost didn’t because:
1. The reviews on this app were mainly negative, and;
2. There was almost no reviews of the Haibike GPS kit online.

I was very reluctant to order but the retailer assured me it would work as advertised or could be refunded, so I went ahead and added the GPS on.

I can confirm that i’ve received my bike and everything has been set up as planned. No issues with the app itself (using iphone X on latest IOS) and the app connected to the bike/GPS as expected. It easy to set up using the included card.

It’s tracking my location and is allowing me to alarm the bike as advertised. I received several notifications on my phone this morning when i moved my bike before i remembered to turn the alarm off, so that part works for sure.

I’ve also added emergency contacts in case i crash but i’ve not tested that yet and hopefully don’t plan to anytime soon.

I just wanted to leave this review in case anyone was wanting to do the same as me and was being put off by all the negative reviews.

I can’t say it will work for everyone with everything, but it works perfectly with my Haibike and the retrofit econnect kit.

I’m staggered that I can buy my a £5.5k bike, and this is the software that ships with it. In every way it’s terrible, it doesn’t do what you want, not even what you expect. It’s still in German in some parts, unintuitive, confusing.

It also frequently crashes, takes 30-45 seconds to load and randomly packs up.

If they cut corners on the app, what part of the bike was done badly?
