Ham Horn 4+

I tried them all and this is the best. It has the proper authentic air horn sound, doesn’t bombard you with adds ( so far I have air horned 118 times and seen 0 adds) and is a well made beautifuly designed app. I would gladly pay money for it.

First things first, ‘Ham horn’ has an absolutely terrific air horn sound, best on the market bar none. However, it also includes a lot of superfluous features and, for my money (this is a free app admittedly) , falls short of the seminal rap air horn app ‘Instant rap air horn’ (tragically discontinued).

Some of these features include the option for a man to shout ‘ham’ as opposed to the air horn sound, but he doesn’t sound in any way ‘cool’ or ‘gangsta’ which, let’s face it, is why we all downloaded this app. You can also change the sound to a Wilhelm scream or a sad trombone (why?).

Even more pointlessly, there’s the option to record yourself but it changes the sound to a typewriter clacking in random volumes which are misleadingly designated ‘excellent’, ‘good’ ‘nice’ ‘cool’ and ‘poppin’. Bizarre.

For me, this app is missing the feature to lay down your rap air horn over some in-app greasy beats. You may say that the app is for augmenting other top tunes but for most of us, these groovy sounds will be coming from your streaming service of choice on your mobile device and Ham horn overrides these wicked grooves.

Would love some beats built in for a future release. All in all though, it’s a winner. Keep up the good work guys.
