App Languages:
The Hamilton Island App is available in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. The app will automatically download in the phones default language. To download in a different language, you will need to change the default language on the phone.
Connectivity:
This App requires a connection to either a Wi-Fi or cellular data network in order access the most up-to-date information. Free Wi-Fi hotspots are located across the island for guests staying at any Hotel operated by HIE. There are generally good cellular phone signals accessible from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone networks across the island, although guests should note that there are some isolated locations on the island that may have weak, or no cellular signal.

Great tool, needs some tweaking
My wife and I found the Ap very useful but felt it’s mapping tool could do with the addition of a simple non interactive map that shows all of the island and its facilities, and bus routes in one go.
Without a buggy, It took a couple of days to get familiar with the proximity of locations to each other. Made more difficult when not able to get hold of a buggy, despite trying 3 months in advance. Using the bus service and trying to match key locations also proved a trial. It seems the buses skip past where people would appreciate a stop.
I suggest better, simpler synchronisation on mapping/transport.
A must if you are visiting Hamilton Island
Visited the island two years ago wish I had this app when I was there. If you are travelling to Hamilton Island for the first time or a return visitor the app is a must have looking not just at the accommodation and activities but also the local weather to help plan your day.
A really useful app for your visit to Hamilton Island!
If you’re planning a visit to Hamilton Island, or are already there, this is a very handy app to use. My wife and I both downloaded it once we arrived and used it all the time to book restaurants, see where the buses were, check menus and so on. We both thought it was a great little app which helped to make the most of our trip.
