Harry Potter: Magic Awakened 12+

I don’t know if it’s just me…

I don’t know if it’s just me but the only thing I can do is duel? I got past the bit in Diagon alley just fine, I defeated the monster books with ease and got my wand and school supplies within minutes. Then I got to Hogwarts listened to the speech and got sorted. But then I woke up after the feast and all I could do was speak to the girl to go to the duelling club like I couldn’t do anything except walk around the room and interact with her. Now, I’m not complaining too much because the duelling element is fun but once you’ve done over 30 duels it gets a bit boring after a while, and in all the trailers it said you could explore Hogwarts. I’ve tried everything from deleting it and reinstalling it to using a different device but it just doesn’t work! I’m really sad that it doesn’t work properly for me because I’m a really big Harry Potter fan and it looks really good on all the game trailers and game play things but I just can’t play it properly! It’s slightly infuriating though.

Amazing!!!

Omg!!! This game is better than I ever expected. At first I thought it would just be a basic game where you go through the tasks. But after you complete the tutorial there’s so much more to do! You have free roam of the map - you can visit the shops on diagon alley, or fly on your broom around Hogwarts. You can complete the main quest or focus on side quests.

But my favourite part about this game is the social aspect. In every room, you are surrounded by real life players. You can dance with them (which is like a rhythm match game) or do duels where you use your cards. You can also chat with all the players, and private message as well.

I am totally blown away by this and cannot believe the effort they have put in a mobile game. Highly recommend!!!!

Great game but…

When I started playing I thought it would be less repetitive than Hogwarts Mystery. I was right. It was far less repetitive and as far as I could wit wasn’t a waste on my time.

First it was the graphics, it took a lot of data and time to download but it was well worth it. Flying around the school in your broomstick with in the sunset without any lag was a marvel especially for an iPhone game.

The quality of it was amazing, it had voice actors for a free game in nearly every class.

The multiplayer aspect was really nice when I could play with my friends and do everything from dancing to fighting creatures with them, but then again with this feature it can be risky to children when you can talk to random people without who they are and what could come out of their mouth.

Now to the main aspect of the game. The cards. The idea was nice and easily accessible but I found it has the aspect of ‘pay to win’. Other than that it’s a pretty cool idea with the game cards.

The main reason I stopped playing was because I wanted to play on a friends server easily and thought I could just hop servers. When I did I lost all my progress and went back to the start, I thought I could just go back to my initial server but it deleted all the progress in that server as well. I don’t really know why I wasn’t put in the UK server to begin with but it was a major setback.

Overall great game but some glitches and issues that were unavoidable when I tried to play.
