Haystack - Tech Job Search 4+

Haystack is an excellent job search app that has helped me land my dream tech job. It is easy to use and has a user-friendly interface.

The app offers a unique approach to job searching that makes it stand out from other job search apps. Unlike other job search apps that require you to create a profile and apply for jobs manually, Haystack uses AI technology to match you with the best job openings that suit your skills and experience.

One of the things I love about Haystack is how it simplifies the job search process. All I had to do was enter my skills and experience, and the app did the rest. It presented me with relevant job openings that matched my qualifications, and I was able to apply for them directly from the app.

The app also provides valuable insights into the job market, including salary ranges and industry trends. This information helped me make informed decisions about my career and negotiate better job offers.

Overall, I highly recommend Haystack to anyone looking for a tech job. It is an excellent app that takes the stress out of job searching and helps you find the best job openings that match your skills and experience.

I quite like the app and the problem it tries to solve! It’s good to know that you’re spending time and interacting with actual people rather than wasting time on lengthy application processes, often receiving automated rejections as an outcome. There are some glitches with the UI (like the list of skills doesn’t always load) and the experience can be improved (for example, selecting a skill shouldn’t close the list with skills), but overall it’s a good experience! The addition of an in-app chat is a good addition, however, I don’t necessarily agree that the Haystack team requires all the conversations with the employers to happen within the app. This, obviously, raises privacy concerns, as it means that the agents can access the conversations. I understand that it’s important to track the success rate, however, there are other routes to do this. Finally, the list of partnering companies seems to be quite limited, at least for the short time I’ve been on the platform.

Haystack is excellent for anyone working in tech or wanting to work in tech to find out more about the roles that are available. You have the options to select your tech stack and find roles suited to you. With this in mind, you can filter jobs for your preferences and actively engage with opportunities. There are no shortage of opportunities or roles to apply for. In the same vein, there’s no shortage of quality roles too! You can even get tips on how to improve the quality of your profile so recruiters can find you more easily and you’re more likely to secure interviews and roles. I spoke to Paul from Haystack who highlighted areas of my profile that needed improving and uncovered areas of the app I wasn’t yet aware of. Couldn’t recommend any more 5*****!!! 🙏💯
