Ratings and Reviews
Nice app
Cool app. Tried using it for star citizen head tracking but the app doesn’t seem to work well in the dark. Playing with lights on is a bit immersion breaking for me so I stopped using.
Dev could try using the IR camera in the app which would solve my issues.
Excellent
A wonderful piece of software (App) that does exactly what it intends too.
With this app installed on your iPhone or iPad that has a “3D depth camera” (the Face ID camera on iPhones X and up, and iPad models that have the 3D depth Face ID camera)... and also the required receiving software on PC, then your good to go and it works straight-of-the-cuff in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 without even touching any settings in Flight Simulator 2020.
There are instructions on the internet to set this up and for downloading and setting up the software required in the PC end (OpenTrack software unless mistaken).
The only initial critical settings that must be done after the softwares have been setup up to communicate, is the mapping curves.
It works!
My only experienced disadvantage so far, is that the tracked movements in the sim are not quite as smooth as they should be, but this is clearly “not” the App. The app shows your face on the iPhone/iPad with 3D axis displayed and one can see that it is ultra smooth and accurate. I suspect the issue is with the PC, and/or Flight Simulator 2020 and/or network.
Brilliant once working
This app just kept saying the host is not responding at first, after searching about I could not find anything that fixed the issue. However after reading about connection issues for another app I have discovered a setting called Wi-fi assist. If you get the same issues turn this off! It’s making you connect to your mobile data network instead of your Wi-fi and thus breaking this otherwise brilliant app! Hopefully this is added to the help section so future users don’t struggle to get it working.
