Troubleshooting if icon is missing in menubar:
If you don’t see “VL” item, try holding command (⌘) and dragging or removing items out of your menu bar.
Most system menu bar items can be removed. If you don’t want to see an item, holding command (⌘) and dragging it out of your menu bar should remove it.

doesn't work properly
the volume limit is quickly overriden if you keep increasing the volume on your headphones - app ideally should keep resetting volume to limit if volume tries to go above limit
