(heart) Sudoku provides unlimited puzzles at 17 difficulty levels. Novices and experienced players alike will enjoy our extensive feature set, tutorial, and advanced hint system. The more you play, the more you will enjoy Sudoku!

Our multi-stage hint system starts with a gentle reminder to get you back on track, and works up to demonstrate the exact technique to use. Our hints ease those frustrating moments and teach you how to be a better player.

Features include:

- Puzzle generator for unlimited play
- 17 difficulty levels, something for everyone
- Tutorial teaches you new techniques
- Enter games from the newspaper
- Solver helps you with games from the newspaper
- Advanced techniques at the higher levels, including X-Wings, sashimi fish, and XY-Chains
- Choice of six color schemes
- Undo/redo
- Automatic or manual pencil marks
- Save your game while you try alternatives
- Highlighting helps you discover patterns
- Game clock; compares your time to other players
- Avoids graphic frills that distract from play
- Choice of digit styles, including Kanji and Hanzi

All games are true Sudoku, with symmetry and a single solution that can be discovered by logic alone. If you doubt that a puzzle can be solved by logic, simply have the hint system explain it to you step by step.

Psyman: Excellent Sudoku programme

Over the past year it has been completely reliable, is easy to use and has good teaching programmes and hints built in so that it is useful for both experienced players and novices. The levels of difficulty, time recording and other features make it easy to track your progress as you develop. Some features such as auto-fill for penciled numbers in the cells can make you lazy as it makes this so easy, but this is a criticism of users like myself rather than the programme. This is the best Sudoku programme and best overall value out there that I have found. Be warned it is addictive, and I play it daily to keep my brain sharp - and because it is enjoyable.

Useful features and good value

I have used this app very happily for some time, and find the ‘scan from camera’ feature particularly useful when completing puzzles from other sources such as newspapers. The range of difficulty means it always stays challenging. Don’t usually like to pay for apps, preferring to tolerate the ads, but this one is definitely worth the money.

Best in class

This Sudoku is best in class for many categories; interface, configurability and longevity being some examples. For me, it is the training in Sudoku solving techniques that makes this app stand head and shoulders above the competition. The challenge becomes regularly solving increasingly difficult puzzles without resorting to the hints. It’s well worth the modest fee.
