Hello Belly: Pregnancy Tracker 4+

This app is so easy to use and I have tried about 10 different apps (both free and paid) and this is hands down the best pregnancy guide! It's not for tracking the changes but I'm totally fulfilled with the tips I get daily!

I do like aspects of this app, the graphics, the style of writing, the way it takes you through the stages slowly and doesn’t overwhelm you with information or allow you to jump ahead. Also the what to eat and what not to is a helpful guide. But I agree with some other reviews too: a lot of the info can be found online for free, the app doesn’t offer much for the price - there’s prenatal yoga but I can’t imagine doing the same thing everyday for 3 months - I’d get so bored! So I use something else. Plus the way you have to go through the yoga videos is not yogi user friendly. I also agree with others that there are at times contradictory information. I was also annoyed to read some subtle fat-shaming articles recently and that really peeved me off. Unfortunately I’ve already paid for this app so I’m writing a review instead to say don’t buy it, it’s not worth the cost. I find the information and tools on Pregnancy Plus far more useful.

This app is poorly written (often with poor grammar, or with sentences you can’t even follow), and contains damaging information (two examples are suggesting fasting for pregnant women, and telling them that home births are dangerous when research has actually proven that home births are more likely to be safer and have less complications and need for interventions for low risk pregnancies than hospital births). It will present information as fact with absolutely no citations of research, which other pregnancy apps do routinely so women can confirm the information is accurate.
If you want a pregnancy app, download Ovia pregnancy or Pregnancy+, they are unbiased and far safer for pregnant women.
The ONLY good thing about this app is the artwork. That is it.
