Great app - just needs an export playlist function

Wanted an amp setup for a turntable so after much research, I opted for Denon and HEOS as I wanted to add a remote speaker which could also play audio from my TV in the garden. The HEOS app is pretty straightforward to use and it’s easy to connect to all the online media platforms. I really love the playlist feature and the ability to create and save your own playlists with friends (great fun!) It’s a shame there is no function to share a playlist with your friends, whether it’s exporting the playlist to another HEOS user and a simple text export with track and artist details as well as the play order for those who don’t have the app. Hope the developers of this app can add this in a future version as it would be a really useful feature. Thanks for the app, I’ll definitely give it 5 stars if you manage to add a playlist export feature!

Tuner and CD?

I have a Denon RCDN11. The Tuner and CD options have recently disappeared from the Music menu options in the app. To switch back to the tuner after using local music servers or streamed services I now have to use the Denon’s remote. Once set to the tuner I can then use the app to access preset stations but having to find then use the remote represents a great loss of functionality in this app for me. Please put these options back or tell me how I can go back to the previous version of the app which worked well.

It just doesn’t work

I went with HEOS as an alternative to Sonos on the basis that you get more amp for your money with Denon. Whilst that is almost certainly true, the HEOS app is a terrible mess - frequent glitches, music just stops playing, you try and skip a track and have to hard quit and restart the app - it’s an endless procession of crummy little faults that continually interrupt your music listening.

Unfortunately the unstable app underpins everything HEOS is supposed to do, rendering it irritating and distracting rather than a pleasurable experience. Sonos costs more and you get less audio product for your money, but their app and operating environment actually work, a claim that HEOS is s very long way away from being able to make.

This is a flakey disaster of an app, that’s even worse after the most recent update. They don’t bother answering their tech support tickets, so you’re on your own there too. This is one to avoid if you like your music and radio without constant annoying bugs, restarts and asides into tech support Hell.
