Granted that I know a premium version of the app exists.. it’s still very limiting to only allow maybe what, 25 swipes (whether you swipe right or not) daily. Yes, it’s a good theory which will assume users will come back everyday to use the app but after a while it gets frustrating (and I’ve been using it for only 3 days). I think this feature of limiting swipes would work if you’re allowed to swipe right 5 times a day, or if one can add filters so their swipes are more tailored and intentional. Even if you match with someone, there’s no guarantee they’ll actually text you back, but that’s where this cute feature of the HER app gives question prompts to the matched couple. I think maybe there should either be a decrease in the subscription cost (£20 is a lot) or allow a 10 minute window weekly where users can get access to all features (see your likes particularly).

Of all the dating apps I’ve used, HER crashes the most and has the worst free features. You can’t set any preferences. Like it gives you a choice but the bare minimum. When I set my age and distance to my preferred setting within 5 mins it tells me that I’ve run out swipes and asks me to either adapt my preferences or check out the same pile of women again. This is longest I’ve used it now without my preferred settings and low and behold the worst has come true. I just get a bunch of 18/19 year olds liking me or women who live 300miles away. This is super inconvenient as age is a massive deal breaker for me (as is distance but not as much as age) I feel uncomfortable with all these youngsters shooting their shot, I left school a long time ago and have no desire to date children. I think that this app is more popular in the USA than it is in the UK and it shows. Maybe this is a marketing think idk? They’re also the only app I’ve used that when I swipe right on one person and then swipe left on the next, the app will glitch and then bring back profile I wanted and swipe it left (I’m sure my future is now shacking up with someone else because of this 😅) Overall it’s a great concept, but it feels like it’s been poorly executed. I just wish there was a little more attention to detail tbh. What they’re offering on the free version is a bit p!ss take if I’m being completely honest. I feel like age and distance should be the bare minimum that’s offered correctly. And if it is already offered and it works for everyone else then these bugs really need tending to on my profile because it’s a joke.

Hi people from Her. Its 4am rn. Just had a wholesome thought of writing this review. I have had this app undownloaded for approximately a year. Just wanted to come back, and thank you once again, for helping me meet my soulmate. I met the love of my life through this app. We had our first date on March 1st 2022. We got together March 12th 2022. Rushed I know, but we’re lesbians and we were madly in love with each other. We still are. It’s been a year now and we still share the same love for eachother. I will share this love for my girlfriend for the rest of my life. We are meant to be. We will get married. We will have our own house, our own family and cute chubby babies together. Our connection is unreal. She grounds me. I ground her. In this 1 year we have spent as girlfriends we havent had a single argument or falling out. My girlfriend has a bad past from dating women. Me on the other hand, she is my first ever love. I met her when I was 19. I am now 21. I am not suggesting you will find the love of your life on this app like i did (i mean… i was literally searching for someone to date for a solid 9 months on about 6 different dating apps) and there is a lot of peculiar people that come up on this app. But keep looking you know. Your soulmate is out there. I was on the verge of giving up and living my life solo. But then she appeared. Gave me butterflies for each text she sent me. And when we finally met I felt nauseous for 2 weeks after. Shes changed me, but all for the positive. Thank you to the people of Her.
