Highlighted: Book Highlights 4+

This app is a game changer. I am a big fan of making notes whilst I read, or simply highlighting key quotes. This app makes it possible to do this with hard copy books (as opposed to ebooks on kindle). It also spares me from handwriting out key quotes that I come across. I think a great feature is the fact that, after taking a highlight, a suggested page number will appear. If you have a different edition from the book on the app, the page number may not correspond to your actual page number. However, once you type in the correct page number once, for all future highlights the suggested page numbers revert to the edition of the book you have, even if it is a different version to the one on the app. It’s great! I don’t often write reviews, but when an app makes a literal change to your life and your workflow, it deserves to be commended. This app enables me to keep references and quotes for my studies at the click of a button, and then have them in front of me, again, at the click of a button! The search tool is especially helpful as when I’m looking to reference an area of research, I can find a passage of text that would normally take me endless hours searching through my notes or worse, the books themselves. I can’t recommend this app enough, and a huge thank you to the developer for realising a huge gap in the market. (PS. A way of making a donation to the developer, in-app would be welcomed)

I’ve always heard that when reading books it is good to take notes, something I have always struggled to do. This app, however, has changed the way I read and remember forever. Everything is perfectly organised, clean, no adverts, works well, the list goes on.
Anyone who reads needs this app, the only thing I wish would be added as a feature is to be able to group highlights. So if a person has made a few highlights within a certain chapter, these highlights can be grouped under a chapter heading. Great work on the app and excited for the future!
