HiSuite 4+

I have an Apple Mac Mini computer, and have to sync my Huawei Honor phone smartphone to it.
Points to Note.
➢ 1: Software supplied with the phone only works on PC’s and not Macs.
➢ 2: I had to download HiSuite software from Apple App Store to Mac OK, as it is the only software available.
➢ 3: Installed HiSuite on Mac OK.
➢ 4: Synced HiSuite to mobile phone reasonably easily.
➢ 5: HiSuite will not sync with iTunes, this means I can not transfer music onto the mobile via iTunes. And I can not playback the music on the mobile via iTunes to hear it on the Mac’s speakers.
➢ 6: To transfer music onto the phone from the Mac I have to first locate the song/tunes music file on the Macs hard drive. This means ploughing through the Macs Folders via, Music; iTunes; iTunes Media; Music; Artists Folders.
➢ 7: Transferring photos initially worked OK. But it has since turned into a lottery, with no guarantee that the selected photo will actually be transferred. The Mac end works well, the problem occurs with HiSuite. It appears to pick a photo at random rather than the one I select, I have not worked out the success rate but its diabolical.

Worked great for me on my MacBook Pro with High Sierra and an Honor 10 phone. At leat it did when I realised I had not enabled USB debugging on the my phone and then went ahead and did that.

It got stuck at one point in the install, so i unplugged the USB lead and then plugged it back in again and the install carried on.

The sign that I had not enabled USB debugging was when it just sat there saying “Connecting….” with nothng happening.

In Setting on the phone enter "USB debugging” in the search box and look for a setting to Enable USB Debugging - turn that on.

At one point, not sure when, it asked to install the HiSuite app on the phone, which allowed. I guess if it would not work without the app on the phone too. If you get stuck in the install you could try intalling the HiSuite phone app from the Apple Store.

Also at one point it asked for permission to either Transfer photos, Transfer Files, or Charge Only. I choose Transfer files and then a screen appeared with a window where I could browse my files.
I selected some and chose Export button and it transferred them without problems. A progress indicator would have been nice.. But, it worked fine, which is the main thing..

HiSuite, so far, seems far better than anything else I have tried for getting stuff between my phone and Mac.

I have never been able to get the HiSuite app to work when trying to connect my Hwawei phone with my Mac. In my case, I just want to drag and drop music files from my Mac to my phone, but all I get when I try opening the HiSuite app is that it closes almost instantaneously after opening and momentarily displays an error message that I don’t really have time to read before it disappears. It’s rubbish really. I can do what I want to do - i.e. drag and drop music files to my phone - on my Windows laptop, but not when using this app with my phone connected to my Mac. Consequently, I find myself having to stick music files from my Mac onto a USB stick to then take the files to my Windows laptop to move those files to my phone. Sort it out!
