Easy peasy
This app is so user friendly and intuitive. I particularly like the individual hive page that is so nicely laid out and importantly there is a coloured button that immediately tells you what colour queen you might be looking for. Lastly the fact that data is stored in the cloud means I can access my information on either iPad or iPhone without having to manually update either.
Initially I baulked at the price but yearly at the price of 2 or 3 jars of honey it’s an absolute bargain.
So much easier than paper records!
I really do love the app, and it’s so so much easier than trying to manage paper records. I’ve not found any issues at all with it, and find it to be convenient and quick for updating our inspections.
The only reason I’ve given it a 4* review is I feel like it’s missing a feature - financial management. You can already record how much honey you’ve harvested, so I think it would also be good to be able to record what honey you’ve sold and in what units to get any idea of what your cash flow has been over the seasons. As a hobbyist this for me is more just a hobby that can pay for itself than a business, so it would be good to track how that’s going.
The at apiary app
I love the simplicity of this app. It’s completely removed my need to keep written records. The app is user friendly, intuitive and has done nice features the designer has included.
I use the app to manage 40 plus colonies at multiple locations. A great newly added feature is the ability to move hives between apiaries.
