I love this as it tells you if it’s a fraud number. It would be nice to be able to do everything free. With having to pay for everything now it gets expensive. I can’t afford much since becoming a widow and I’m only on a pension so have to be careful. So please make it completely free for people like me. Thanks though for a good app in helping to sort the scammers out. Just to add I can’t block the caller as it won’t let me. I go to settings and it won’t go on the last 2. So I don’t know why. If anyone can help with this I’d be most grateful.
This app is pointless on iOS

So coming from a Samsung phone I’ve been used to Hiya being an integrated part of the phone experience; on that platform it does an exemplary job of performing its primary task of blocking unwanted and spam callers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the application on iOS. It simply does *nothing at all*, that is, it doesn’t block calls and it doesn’t inform you the status of an incoming call. I am a paid subscriber and this application has not functioned well since I installed it some time ago. Back then it partially worked in so much as it flagged up potential scam or fraud calls and managed to perform basic blocking. Now however, it does absolutely nothing. It sits there hogging resources without performing any function. Heck, you cannot even paste a number in to lookup now as you are faced with a spinner and a message saying that it’s looking up. Nothing happens. I’ve tried contacting the devs but no response. To be completely fair, it looks like Apple have moved the goalposts with regard to accessing call functions from within third party apps so there probably isn’t a great deal the Hiya devs can do. What would be nice is a response. Any response. Just to say, “Hey, we know it’s broken and we know you’ve paid money but we’re trying to fix it”. But all there is is complete radio silence. Such a shame I’ve chucked money away on this. So, the moral is: if you’re looking for a call blocking app on your shiny iPhone, this ain’t what you’re looking for. Simply let your phone ring, then when it’s stopped just cut and paste the number into Google to check who it was. It’s a ton cheaper and a lot less hassle than trying to get this app working.

I recently bought a new phone & out of nowhere I was getting spammy ‘call centre’ nuisance calls 4-5 times a day, everyday. Since installing Hiya on the subscription plan I’ve quite literally had not even a single nuisance call. The Hiya app quietly gets on in the background, working its magic. The block lists are continually updated bringing peace of mind that the Hiya crew are taking care of business. For me, my mobile number is personal for family & close friends. Hiya’s enabled me to keep it that way. Thanks Hiya!
Great App! BUT could use some additional features

I have had this app since forever now and it’s been great, Honestly a lifesaver for bogus calls and spam calls. HIYA blocks the calls and directly sends them to voicemail or cuts the calls off, You can add some contacts you wouldn’t like to be contacted by to the app and it will block instantly, It’s a really great app and for free too! You can pay for a premium version which gives you real time identification of numbers and lots of other features Some features could be added such as: -Category’s for calls (such as bogus callers and another section for your blocked contacts) that’s all that I can think of! Really good app please download! 😊
