Always improving!
This extension saves you so much money by applying discount codes before you checkout during your online shop. Its fantastic it has saved me a fair bit of money, let alone time, and if you've already got the best price then it simply gives you cashback in their loyalty program. That is the only part that I see needs working on if I'm honest. You can't seem to track what has earned you whatever amount and therefore it makes monitoring very difficult. If you shop online, then frankly, you NEED to install it!
Surprisingly works
I got Honey ages ago on safari on my macbook because of the amount of adverts about it. I didnt expect the codes to work, however, there are many that don't but when you find one that does work it's the best feeling. Sometimes the codes work one day then the next they don't which is annoying. Honey is really good to just have there to see if you could get any dicsounts and money off. I highly recommend.
Extremely high CPU utilisation
I recently decided to start using Safari again as my primary web browser. I got a few useful looking extensions from the App Store and Honey was one of them. That was a few days ago.
Now, I haven't used any of the features yet so I can't comment on those. However, the reason for leaving such a negative review is because I just had a look in activity monitor and this extension is using 13% of my CPU. In fact, it has gobbled up more CPU time than any program I have used since last restart. This is despite the fact I've never actually used any of the features of the extension!
I am actually using a new MacBook Air with an M1 CPU - this extension is Intel based so I don't know whether that is why (although no other x86 app I'm using under Rosetta 2 is exhibiting any kind of abormally high CPU usage).
I'll now be deleting this extension for draining my laptop's resources for reasons unknown.
Edit: I have now uninstalled the Honey extension and I have noticed that page loads in Safari are dramatically faster. Avoid at all costs!
