Some recent reviews express clear end user frustration and, in the case of paying customers, this is particularly unacceptable. For context, I use free, on Mac: and BTW thanks very much!

You guys clearly have the point of presence, distribution capacity, the customer base, a clear cut-off between free and paid, solid business model, etc. And great visual design. But the customer experience (UX) is confusing, irrespective of how you want to play it, this has to be customer (not Marketing) led. I mean, I can come back again, sign up, and miss this greyed out darko checkbox, or one liner saying Not Now or whatever, and loop around, around … C’mon this is basic stuff: you don’t convert customers by making it $^%%$&* hard to do something simple! You make it slick and simple, but cap it; then you make it even simpler (and with choices) to get more of the same, once you’ve paid up.

I read about this on some review. I was interested because there was a free basic option. You have to go to the Apple Store to download it…this gives me a bad feeling, but I do it anyway. The fun begins, try to remember your password (I almost never use it). Then it turns out that there is no free basic option (try the Proton VPN for that): you only get a free week. OK, no problem, delete the program and we’re done. I quit the program. I go to applications to delete the icon in order to deinstall the program, standard Mac procedure. Oh wait…you can’t delete it because it is “in use” (I just quit!)…OK, on to a bigger caliber…force quit…mmmh…it doesn’t appear in the list of programs running…but I still cannot quit because it’s “In use”….OK, open Activity Monitor…there it is, the HotSpot thing…select, force quit, done, hooray!…Wait, I still can’t delete its icon because “some of its extensions are in use”…Which extensions? What are they called? I want out! I guess I’ll have to restart my computer…hopefully this program is not set up to start on its own...Spare yourself the grief...

I apologize for the issues you ran into. We do offer a Free (Basic) Version. When you first download our app you are presented with our Terms and Conditions, after accepting these you are presented with our account creation or sign in. After this step, you are presented with what we offer our Premium Members. You can either scroll to the last page or wait patiently for the last page. It will say "Proceed with Basic." Regarding your uninstall issues, we do offer a steps by step guide for anyone who wants to view it in our Help Center here https://bit.ly/2KqdRgM. Our process follows the same guidelines as every app offered on the Mac Store. Again, I apologize for any confusion.

By far the simplest and fastest VPN app!

Ive tried many free and paid for VPN apps. Some very expensive that promised the world but failed to deliver and some cheaper ones that did what it said on the tin but that wasnt very much. Im using the Premium version and its faultless. Connection is swift and secure and the choice of servers is vast.

Having the premeium version also give me access to 1Password and Hiya. Two very good apps on their own. I have actually used 1Password since it was started and before it was taken over by Pango.

Its my go to password app and I use it on 5 devices. Works perfect with the fingerprint and facial scanners on Macbook and iphone/ipad.

All in all cant fault anything ive tried with them. Top marks. Ive been buying and using apps since the app store opened and I have a dozen active apple products and this is one of the first reviews ive taken the time to complete. That alone tells you how happy I am with the product! Thanks
