Technical issues and unable to create a beneficiary for a bank transfer. This app and the overall “support” of hsbc is so far very frustrating for me. And I am still awaiting a resolution of my complain 48houra after spending 1 hour over the phone from Dubai.
Good App let down by little things
You can display most of the areas of the app in English, apart from messages.
You receive an email in French advising you that you have a document. You go to the app and the messages section where the email message is repeated, still in French.
You go to the document section, which you appear to be only able to access via the web/online version, and that is also in French.
Don’t get me wrong I have a French bank account and a house in France and I should make more of an effort to be able to speak and read French but in the area of messages and documents let’s the app down.

HSBC new banking App - not a smooth transition from the old one
As an HSBC Client of 8 years plus, I found the transition from the old app to this new App a very painful process. First of all the old App just stopped working and suggested I transfer over to the new App in simple process, which I then followed. It switched to French and asked me to drag down the page in my phone to “ouvrir”; this did not work. I called the number suggested and after much boring security stuff spoke for one hour to an arrogant HSBC employee or contractor who failed to get the new App to work.
