Great app but...
This is a really awesome app but it would help so much if you could speed up videos from your photo album. This was kind of the reason I got this app, but I can still use it for other stuff. Great app, but for that I’m only giving three stars.
Edit - BTW for anyone reading this you can go onto settings but tapping the screen FOUR times with FOUR fingers. I don’t really have anything to say about this except WHY!
A great app held back by its developers
Hyperlapse is one of a kind, but has been let down by its developers. The app needs an injection of updates. It currently doesn’t reach its potential on later iOS devices. As an iPhone XS user, I’ve noticed a reduction in stabilisation compared to that of an iPhone 8. It appears to be a smoother on earlier iPhones. With the latest handsets shooting higher resolution images, Hyperlapse needs an update so it can export a higher quality videos. Taking stabilisation into account and shooting 4K and 12mp images, it could easily output 2.5K instead on 1080p. Taking everything into account, this is a simple app that does one thing great. I just hope Instagram pays it a little more attention in the near future.
Good app lacks auto exposure
Just started using Hyperlapse on iPad air2. Works well, stabilisation good, good range of speeds available, assuming you remember to save after slowing or speeding!
Totally unable to handle brightness variations. Exposure level can be adjusted manually, but once you start shooting, that’s it.
Walk through a scene of differing brightness, mine is a wooded area, and you get deep blacks or blown highlights. Most disappointing.
