A common complaint with cTrader but a very good platform all the same. An update on my last review. The spreads are good as well and I’m generally happy with IC Markets, would recommend. cTrader software is an amazing bit of kit... probably the most intuitive, efficient and user-friendly platform I have ever used for my trading - and that’s even comparing it to CQG’s top of the range platform which used to cost me close to £800 per month just to use. However this app, well, it’s shockingly bad! Yes it’s okay to keep an eye on positions and close them out, but it’s a real shame to say that that’s about it. It’s super buggy... ie, going from portrait, to landscape (to better view the chart) and then back to portrait again causes the navigation arrows/tab to disappear, and you need to either close the app down to go back or mess around swiping down from the top and back up again a few times to get it up. Moving the charts around is also nightmare, and getting to your open positions from the chart quickly in order to modify them is often difficult. I’d place so many more trades within the app itself whilst I’m out and about and not at home, but it’s just such a poor experience I don’t bother because it’s so frustrating to use. If this app was even 50% as good as CMC’s app is, it’d be sufficient. Not plugging CMC here by the way - I’ve had bad experiences with them, but can not deny their app is incredible. Come on guys, it’s 2020... and that’s directed at Spotware more so than IC Markets to be fair, but yeah, in this day and age, a slick, reliable and full featured app should be standard bits and bobs!!!

The app certainly improves with every update, what I’d like to see in the app and the biggest thing is to have all drawing tools synced from day my web trader on my Mac analysis to my phone so if I open up a chart on my phone all my work is done and i’m purely looking to see where price is and act on it if needed. All the hard work is done on the web trader on my Mac but when i’m our and about it would be good to be able to simple open up a chart and see if price is where you planned it to be. So the sync is the biggest one for me. The other, more customisation, I run black and green candles on the web version, ideally it would be awesome to have the ability to have the exact same set up on mobile. The other would be a simple risk reward marker that can be placed on the charts to plan ahead trades. If you guys could get the sync to work and those other bits, I genuinely think you would have a fantastic platform for any trader, I currently use trading view for these very reasons so i’d love to be able to ditch trading view and focus on my own brokers platform and work from that rather than having to keep switching as we’re not just up to scratch yet.

I have to say that this Ctrader platform is outstanding. The more you use it the more great things you discover. Feature of note for me is the fact it tells you the net profit after fees. No other platform has done this. The phased exit feature is really useful, 5 different pip exits should be enough for anyone. I haven’t found anything that I would suggest for an improvement and considering I’m hard to please is testimony to apps quality. Well done to the team that have developed it. 👍👍

The long-anticipated risk-reward tool allows you to calculate deal volume based on your stop-loss level and the amount you are willing to risk—directly on the trading chart. It offers three calculation modes (risk, reward and size) for all trade directions, ensuring flexible settings and precise position size estimations for every trade.
In cTrader Copy, you can now filter deal history for any strategy, with the flexibility to sort deals by their closing time, opening time, symbol and more, in ascending or descending order. You can also choose from multiple predefined periods or set a custom date range.

IC Markets cTrader Mobile 5.0 delivers the new Algo application to your device. Start cBots in Cloud, and they will be able to trade 24/7 even if your application is closed or you have no Internet connection. Share algorithms via links and convert traders into referrals. Your invited traders automatically receive access to all algorithms you are sharing via Invite. Starting from the 5.0 version, you can open .algo files in cTrader Mobile.
Version 5.0 allows for choosing where exactly to display an indicator: overlay on the trading chart, display separately in a new panel or add to panels with other indicators. Combine indicators as you find convenient and make your trading informative.
After adding multiple panels with indicators under the trading chart, it has become possible and convenient to scroll the screen down. The size of the chart and panels can be adjusted in cTrader Mobile 5.0.
You can now change the symbol directly on the trading chart. Simply tap on the symbol in the lower-left corner of the chart and select another one.

"Invite" is a toolkit for partners, designed to attract, attribute and convert new referrals. A user profile has been introduced under "Manage Profile" in the main menu. Now you can share your orders and positions as signal links with enhanced snippets. Every signal link contains a parameter that attributes new users to you in "Invite".

With the new version of the IC Markets cTrader Mobile app, some new features have been added.
The version delivers multiple improvements of charting, including: new drawing style via taps, 7 new drawings (Fibonacci Arc, Expansion, Timezones and Fan, Eclipse, Text, Pitchfork), magnet mode, menu settings improvement. Explore your new trading hub available from the bottom bar. Here, you can switch between trading accounts, create new ones, deposit and withdraw funds and grant account access to others. Share your real-time account stats via a public link to showcase your trading experience and build online trust. Access trading products, including copy strategies, cBots and plugins, to make the most of cTrader. Customise your profile page, share invite links and monitor your invited traders’ progress. My cTrader is also an entry point for multiple settings, support channels, Help Centre and official social media.
Improved navigation
Access charts instantly with markets now just one tap away from the bottom bar. Navigate more efficiently across the app and reach key trading areas without unnecessary steps.
Chart updates
Chart tools – open controls with a single tap on the chart for quicker access.
Floating panel – manage orders, positions and chart objects from a new draggable panel.
Trading focus – tap a position or order on the chart to spotlight it while all others dim.
Crosshair focus – highlight the selected bar or measured period when using the crosshair.
