icardio A blind perspective
I have been using this app for quite a while now and this is used three or four times a week at the gym purely because as a blind user I cannot see the LCD displays and use the touch screens at the gym but with wearing a heart rate monitor and a stride and cadence sensor this app allows me to get on the move audio readouts via my Bluetooth headphones making the whole experience more immersive and focused the support from the team is excellent and they have made several tweaks to the app to make it more user friendly for a blind person using the app on my iPhone and via the VoiceOver facility in the accessibility setting on the phone
Enjoying?
Rather woolly privacy policy but trying app now for a month on new iPhone X and new Apple Watch, mainly for indoor rowing. Sometimes app won’t Bluetooth sync up with watch and workout data is then not logged. Heart rate can go up two zones just sitting on the erg trying to get app to work, rebooting phone, rebooting watch, restarting app. I would like to see a clear visual on phone screen of what heart rate zone I am in. Also paid about 7 quid for this so don’t really expect my data to be merchandised or to be served any adverts such as videos for slimming pills disguised as sports science. Insufficient goodwill at this stage to consider opening up the full app on the two higher subscription levels, for functionality I had assumed would be covered by the initial payment.
Update: 5 weeks spending a good deal of my precious workout time trying to get app to connect to new Apple Watch and iPhoneX mainly just getting cross and raising heart rate for the wrong reason just sat on the erg poking my phone and rebooting the watch. When it works (sometimes) the graphs are interesting but I do not plan to be your beta tester in my workout time. POS. Deleting.
Excellent Motivational Workout App!
iCardio is the only one App I think that counts your fitness level, calories, duration, workouts route etc for wide range of physical activities.
For me too much walking is prohibited due to arthritis in articular cartilage.
But, I do core strengthening exercises, physiotherapy through which I burn lots of calories by raising heart rate.
Most of the Apps counts for high intensity based exercises. But, there are so many people like me who can’t do such tough exercises due to past physical trauma.
Now doing physiotherapy, core strengthening exercises provides a great motivation when iCardio measures my active minutes, BPM, calories on my Apple Watch.
This App is also linked with other apps for fitness tracker. So by syncing data from other fitness trackers you can also monitor your physical performance.
