Get organized:
Use the app to get an overview of your content, with tags and favorite documents. Create folders for collecting notebooks and files by topic.

Save one for each project, or separate work and personal notes. This will help you find and arrange the content stored on your paper tablet with Search.

You can also remove clutter by deleting any digital paper that has piled up.

Fresh paper in your pocket:
Our notebooks take full advantage of the flexibility of digital paper for taking notes, typing, and sketching.

All of your content is always available, and you can both make fresh notebooks, folders, and add note pages in PDFs and ebooks.

Take focused notes, anywhere:
Make your ideas easier to refine and share on the go. Our cloud storage allows you to sync your content and pick up right where you left off on your paper tablet.

Use the app to create new notebooks or quick sheets, and add blank note pages to existing documents. Checkboxes in the formatting menu are great for to-do lists.

Type pages of notes, or quickly write out shorter lists to review and annotate later on your reMarkable.

Download the app to your mobile to make the most of your paper tablet.

Love the device but the app …

I love the reMarkable device but the app leaves a lot to be desired. I have an iPad Air, an iPad mini and an iPhone. And the app works perfectly fine on the iPhone and the iPad Air but on my mini it doesn’t even show in the settings. The app is installed and it’s connected to my remarkable device however I cannot send anything to it from the iPad mini and I cannot see it in my settings. It is as if the iPad doesn’t even know it’s installed.

I asked for support but honestly I’m not even sure that they know what they’re doing really. So, I searched online and found that the likelihood of some coding being missing from the app is the problem and so until the app software is sorted out I am not going to be able to use it with my iPad mini. The thing is the iPad Air is too heavy and the iPhone text is too small and the iPad mini is just right so this is the one I would really want it to work on. This is not good considering the price of the remarkable and its pen. I would expect it to be flawless.

Companion App is Improving

Since integrating with the remarkable and moving away from my iPad as a note taking device, I have become more reliant on the remarkable app to sync files and thankfully can now also type small notes.

However, currently (April 2023) the app does not support my external keyboard properly - it will not let me type, though the touchpad still allows me to move around the screen. It works fine if the keyboard is disconnected.

It feels like they are on the right track but I would like some more sophisticated editing to be available. Numbered bullets for instance. Or a change of font? It does the job now and I like the minimalist approach but there is a balance.

I would really like the ability to move seamlessly between a note on my phone, some typed ideas on my iPad and then lots of thinking and annotating on my remarkable.

I guess they see the new type folio as the answer, but currently I would like to keep the typing world away from the device. It is so nice to just open and pick up the stylus, knowing full well that it does nothing else.

I have faith in you remarkable!

Best thing I’ve ever bought

Before I purchased, I read through so many reviews and forums because I thought the price was pretty steep, and one comment in particular that I saw stuck with me. It said “it doesn’t do a lot like other smart devices, but what it does do is unparalleled in the market” but they were absolutely spot on.
If you are looking for a device to write all your notes on and organise your life, then you’ll fall in love with it. The pen and paper feel is brilliant, and it didn’t take any time at all to switch. I feel like I’m still writing on paper.
If you are already a writer and note taker, you won’t regret buying a reMarkable. It’s made my life so much easier, and I love that the cloud updates my app, desktop and device so that I’m never without.
Also happy that the battery lasts quite long. Its very user friendly.
Best aspect for me though is that it’s not a smart device, so you’re not being bothered or distracted by any notifications.
It does exactly what it says in the box. Go for it! You won’t regret it!
Oh and don’t worry about getting the fancy pen option, the standard cheaper one is worth it and works perfectly
