Love this game
Really love playing this game.
It’s quite an addictive little game. Each game is quite short, lasting just a couple of minutes, but is loads of fun as you run around the city collecting new members for your group.
A couple of things I would like are the ability to set a longer game time, I would sometimes like to be able to wipe out all the opposition, it would also be good on the arrow that shows where other groups are, is to have an idea of the distance they are away.
I’ve not had much trouble with the game glitching as some people have.
This game doesn’t get boring like many games I’ve tried, well done.
Fun game, but unstable.
The core concept of the game is really quite interesting: you take control of a small group of people and spread out like a virus and try to command the largest group in a city, while competing against 9 others players.
It can be a bit unbalanced; if you take an significant early lead in the round you’ve pretty much won the round. But it is fun to stomp around as the biggest baddest group. And equally tense being at the bottom of the leaderboard trying to rebuild your group and avoid players that can gobble up your army. Plus there’s few micro transactions that make the game feel unfair.
Unfortunately this is all dampened by some aggressive advertising (not the worst I’ve seen on the AppStore, but really frustrating when bugs cause the game to crash,) massive frame-rate drops, and occasional loss of controls when things get busy. The game might be more stable and smoother to play on newer devices (I’m playing on a 2 year-old 6s) but judging by other reviews I’m skeptical.
Great Concept, Lacks Development
The basic concept of the game is simply fantastic, and fantastically simple. You smart with a small group and have a limited amount of time to build it by influencing other characters whilst trying to avoid the disruptive influence of larger groups.
It never changes however, the time limit remains the same, the difficulty remains the same, the challenge never deviates and soon you find yourself only playing to beat your own previous score.
There’s no real player v player action as the App suggests, instead you play again and again against the same computer generated minions. That being said, it’s a great way to pass 2 minutes but it becomes incredibly tiresome and less rewarding each time you have to endure a 30 second advert to play again, especially when you’re only doing it for essentially a step by step re-enactment.
