The House of Da Vinci 3 9+

Whoo hoo!

Another House of DaVinci chapter! I didn’t know one was coming so so happy! This series of games are in a league of their own, they are absolutely sublime in every way, I was expecting to buy this chapter but it was free…. Unbelievable. The atmosphere created is like nothing else, whoever writes the letters you find along the way is so talented, you really feel your in that time period and world. The puzzles are always brilliant and the graphics and gameplay are always seamless. A hugely talented bunch of creators. A heartfelt thank you for this amazing series! 5 stars plus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Edit: so I’ve just finished and it was quite emotional, what a journey, I particularly liked that you can read the story from the menu screen, really superb in every way. I’m sad it’s over but ready to replay from the beginning now I know the story.

Hmmmm

Not very impressed to be honest. Not as good as 1 & 2. Graphics seemed a bit lacklustre and the cut scenes were awful! Most of the ‘puzzles’ involved finding things first, and that involved looking looking in random places and tapping everything - that’s is not a puzzle!! The actual puzzles were ok but they did start to get a bit random towards the end and I was solving them just by randomly moving things around until it worked - there appeared to be no logic to them. Then they just got too easy and the final one was very disappointing and again appeared to have no logic in the order needed. Once again I solved it just by trying combinations in order. Maybe I missed something on these ones but I could not work out the logic even when I solved them. Still, I got 15hrs of play out of it which is good value I would say, but honestly I was getting bored by 3/4 way through and just persisted because I wanted to finish it.

It’s pointless telling me you that your next game hopes to challenge my views of this game! On the strength (or lack) of this game, I won’t be buying the next one, sorry.

Fantastic game!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been waiting and waiting for another House of Davinci game, and having to make do with second class rubbish. Now at last here is another fantastic instalment . The graphics are outstanding, the way you move around is natural and instinctive, the way you open locks and things is fascinating . It is a thing of beauty, and I love the historical angle; you feel you really are back in renaissance Italy . The House of Da Vinci and The Room series really are in a super league of there own.
Update: have just finished the game and wanted to say it is just fantastic and I enjoyed every minute of it. The way that Leonardo Da Vinci’s many inventions are worked into the storyline is just absolute genius. The puzzles are pleasingly tricky but doable. It’s just great.
