Trash app

They charged me twice. First time it said there was an error when I topped up so I had to do it again and they charged me twice! Also, when I went to the payment history to check it crashes every single time so I can’t view anything. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times and the issue persists. I would say it’s probably safer to just got to the shops than using the app.

Should show current balances available on the App

Once logged into the App Id find it really helpful if I could see a current balance of both gas & electric before topping up. Equally I think the App should send notifications to me informing me if and when either energy is running low, or about to run out. That way if I ever run out of electricity and I’m staying at my mum’s, I will know to put money on the app and it would avoid losing any refrigerated items eta.
Other than that the app itself has been helpful. The only problem I have is the smart meter often becomes faulty and I am unable to see my gas readings whatsoever. This means going down to the end of the garden with my toddler in the cold weather and check in the outside box. As this isn’t the first time this has happened in this year I think maybe some work needs to be done on that side of things, but I am very happy with SSE energy as a whole. And hopefully won’t be waiting too much longer for another engineer to come out for a third time to remedy the gas readings issue. Would still recommend SSE and using the app regardless of these matters 🙂👍

2 hours waiting!!

My 84 year old mother has had a key meter for years no problem- we as a family decided she should go on pay as you go so we could top up for her on line. She has had it a week and already it broke down she/we could not top up, we tried to find a contact number as she was running out of electricity eventually we found a number I waited on the phone for 2 and a half hours - I do realise you are busy! - when I eventually got through the call was over in seconds an overload of meter outage, can I suggest you have some sort of error message on your line like “if you are experiencing problems with topping up we are aware and aim to get the problem fixed in......” so far I am hating pay as you go!
