Alchemy Stars 12+

I’ve been playing this game since release and I can very confidently say it’s the best gacha game I’ve played, which is definitely saying something. The game is really f2p friendly, and as of now, being a very light spender in the game (£50 total since release) I have about 30 ascended 6 stars (max rarity). The variety of skills and constantly evolving metas and play-styles really makes for a great experience that’s constantly evolving and never stagnant. Another thing I really like is the fact that though new units get released quite frequently, older ones still remain just as fun to play as they do on release, and the newer ones synergise with them very well. Story and artstyles are also 10/10 in my opinion.

The only thing holding me back from calling the game perfect are the events. While for a newer player the events are very fun and interesting to play through, for a veteran such as myself, most events feel pretty much like a rerun of the previous event: while not bad by any means, it could use a lot more variety…

It’s a new fresh way of concept of games mixing the puzzle lines with these characters very much with personality. You interact with them too and make the game more enjoyable. It’s a gacha game but for now, I’m a f2p with experience and doing as usually do, I have good roaster.

I REALLY HOPE they can carry on like this and don’t change it to p2w, because like that I might think to pay for the pass. Only one thing is, when you have link a lot of squares and you want to restart again you need to come back the same path and that’s a bit tedious sometimes and easy to miss the finger and lose the turn doing something you don’t want. Despite of that, the game is awesome.

There are people arguing about the ascension materials. Well, fellas, this is a RPG as well. I actually love it like that too. It forces you to care the characters being harder to ascend. AND you have the workshop too to craft them!!! I found through the years that if you level up the characters to the limit so easily the game eventually crashes, it’s completely killed.

I recommend it to all the puzzle/RPG fans, amazing fresh breeze nowadays.

It’s so rare for me to write a review, but I really feel this game deserves more publicity. It’s very generous and I’ve found myself constantly pulling despite being completely f2p; I’m also fairly stacked with incredible units. The gameplay is engrossing and there’s quite a bit to do!

For me, the biggest draw and surprise for me, is the story. I’m often not invested in story beats, but this game has me glued to how each character interacts with one and other, the interesting world lore and the developments that occur over time. Even though I joined the game later, the ability to go back and do previous events has been a godsend.
