Stocard - Loyalty Cards Wallet 4+

I first downloaded this about a year ago and was absolutely brilliant. All my cards in one place so no more need for a wallet. I tried to update some personal details and it all went a bit wrong from there. I was unable to top up my payment card anymore although the loyalty cards still worked so I persevered. Then came the time to update my debit card as it was expiring, and that’s when it went completely wrong. It wouldn’t let me add my new card. I decided to delete the account and start again. Slightly annoyed that I had to do all my loyalty cards again but as I actually thought this app had great potential, again I persevered. So I input my debit card details and it put me on a waiting list. Great. That was a month ago now and I’m still yet to hear anything back. It didn’t take this long the first time. It’s a shame as it did originally work really well. Now it’s become a waste of space on my phone so seriously considering deleting it.

So far so good. I’ve just started to use Stocard after seeing it recommended on The Martin Lewis Road Show. Set up could not have been easier, all I had to do was scan most of my loyalty cards and my number for each one was there. 3 of my cards did not have bar or QR codes so I had to enter them manually. I’ve used Stocard on my iPhone in Tesco and Costa and been credited with the appropriate points. My wallet is now considerably slimmer and lighter because I have fewer cards in it. I would definitely recommend this free app.

Since posting my original review I have had the opportunity to use Stocard several times. Some stores technology is not up to date. Nevertheless I have been able to use Stocard and the assistant has just been required to tap my loyalty card number into their till. I no longer have to care 10 different cards in my wallet and often I don’t even have to take my wallet out as I am able to use Stocard and Apple Pay. Stocard is a fantastic addition to my life and I love it.

Excellent to use simple to add cards too and saves the wallet from exploding with cards

Having read some of the previous reviews I’ve been surprised at the comments of not being able to use particularly at such place as Tesco, Sainsburys etc. Personally I have used this app in both places and never had an issue with either the tills or the self services kiosks The only time I had a problem was at Holland & Barrett and that was simply because there scanner didn’t seem to work and so they simply used their keypad and typed in my account number.

It’s been a very useful app as my wife and daughter have cards for stores that I rarely go to Boots and other cosmetic companies but I just have there cards so on the rare occasions that I go in to those stores they get the benefit of the points.

So generally speaking, from beefeater to odeon to Tesco, Sainsburys and Waitrose I’ve never had a problem, my bigger problem was having 30+ cards in my wallet and still not being able to find the one I wanted, now with Stocard it’s just one app and all my cards are on view with my most commonly used ones held in the top area. Very good app, easy to use and so far never lost out on my points.
