No spam/junk facility

I bought this after reading good reviews. It does the job of an Email app well, so it’s a shame to report that I’m moving on...

There is no facilty for blocking spam/junk mail - no ability to set up a simple rule forward any email automtically into the spam folder. You have to manually move mails into spam. I was really surprised as this is no-longer a ‘nice-to-have’ in any email app. Even having the ability to add an extension like SpamSieve would help.

I’ve spent money on Unibox but am now looking at other apps that will do this job for me.

UPDATE 3rd April 2018

The desktop version has lost functionality since the latest OS version was updated. I now cannot scroll through the message inbox on the left or read through complete emails - when I try to scroll down to read a complete email it simply goes to the next email. Makes the whole of Unibox completely useless. I have emailed the developer and received NO reply. Really makes me annoyed having paid to use Unibox.

I have found that Unibox is becoming increasingly annoying. In the old days messages used to load quickly but recently I am finding that the body of the message takes ages to load…this is both on the desktop and mobile versions. Why oh why is this happening ? Also the mobile version has just started to throw up “Tips & Tricks” which is really annoying when just trying to read you message. I expect a paid for app to function smoothly and efficiently but, unfortunately, this no longer seems to be the case with Unibox. Great idea poor delivery.

Pretty, mostly works but no support

I’ve been trying Unibox for a while on my Mac and iPad. It’s very nicely laid out, and easy to use after a little practice. However I have two problems I want addressed. I can’t send from an alias address (even though I receive emails). This is useful if you want to be able to delete addresses that get too much spam, but not change your underlying account. Also I want to file mails I receive in an IMAP account I share with my wife. I’ve emailed the only contact address I can find (in “contact us”) and weeks later I’ve not even had an acknowledgement. Also there is no support community, so we can’t help each other.
So - it’s good - until it isn’t and then you’re stuck.
