Does most of what it says

It does add artwork and description. Am using with Plex and for the past 6 months it's reverted the dates on the files to today's date - so a film from 1960 has a release date of 2020. Not much in line of support or feedback/interaction with developer for a paid-for product

As time goes on, it gets worse

IFlicks used to be best in class. Unfortunately it is not any more. Occasionally it will turn a functional 30m or 1h long functional movie file into a stretched out file lasting 12-24 hours or more, playing at a frame a minute or less.

What's most annoying is that IFlicks have moved to use the TMDB. I run my library in Plax, which uses the TVDB. Sometimes things like Pilot Episodes are listed differently in both. For instance, I just ripped Cagney and Lacey. The Cagney and Lacey Pilot episode is listed as S00E02 on the TMDB, and IFlicks renames my file to that, but when this shows up in Plex it lists it as the first tv movie Cagney and Lacey - The Return because the two databases have been edited differently. Meanwhile certain other things like the movie Summer (2008), while definitely being on the TMDB, won't show up in the database at all. For the amount of money charged for this app, it should surely be possible to be able to select the database to use, It should be a one stop shop - not half a solution that creates problems down the line. I want a file system that meshes with my media library, not works against it.

The app is ok but has a lot of issues

here are the issues:

1. It is very bad at dealing with networked storage - sometimes it will reset what is has done and redo all files again. If network storage becomes unavailable (as it does) chances of a reset increases AND iFlics will pop up asking for a difference "source" directory. If you don't cancel that - and reconnects to yoru network - iFLics will redo your entire library.

2. The process to monitor file changes is very inefficient and spends a lot of CPU time on something that should be really trivial to do. There is no way to modify the process to start fx every hour vs now - every ? Minute? The battery cost on that one is very high.

3. It often get title images wrong or not at all.

The conversions usually work ok - but it could be so so much better.

It is an expensive piece of software for the quality delivered.

And an extra star was removed for pushing subcription model. If this tool was updated on a regular basis with real improvments it should maybe not be - but it is not. Improvments are few and far between - not warrenting any kind of subscription payment.
